Blue is a pitbull dog who has been missing for several months from his home in Tennessee. His owner searched everywhere for him, but was forced to leave for Texas, assuming he would never see his beloved companion again, until a friend spotted an ad for a shelter.
In early April, the animal shelter in Washington County, TN, USA, received a call. It seems that a stray dog had arrived at the home of a person and was in need of shelter; no one knew how long it had been roaming the streets, but the dog seemed to be quite friendly with people.
The shelter was forced to lock its doors to the public due to the Covid-19 epidemic and accept visitors by appointment only. Because of this circumstance, Blue was forced to remain at the location for months before being found.
What a blessing for his owner, who never gave up hope of finding him and who was finally reunited with his trusty companion.
The shelter prepared a video of Blue and posted it on Facebook to introduce him to potential adopters; Interestingly, one of the comments read “that’s my dog”, so the only thing left to do was figure out if the man was telling the truth.
Tammy continued: “
“When we first approached the owner, he said, ‘Yes, I have pictures of my dog.'” He provided us with photos of Blue at his residence, playing with the same blue ball, which was his favorite toy. He was crazy.”
The ecstatic guy drove over 1,200 miles to get his pet; it had been a long time since they had seen each other, and the reunion could not have been more emotional.
The lady explains:
“It was clear that that dog and that man formed a relationship.” For a short time, Blue was taken aback and wondered aloud, “Am I seeing things?” Then it was just kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses.
