This story is about Daya, a pregnant pit bull who was found by Animal Control wandering the streets of York, South Carolina.
Despite being taken directly to Halfway There Rescue to give birth to her puppies, Daya’s situation turned out to be different as she was experiencing significant health problems.
After experiencing complications from an infection, Daya had to undergo an emergency procedure. She was feeling completely depressed due to the loss of her children. However, her outlook changed when she came across an orphaned puppy named Raisin who was discovered wandering a road, ill and with an injured eye.
That’s when the shelter put the orphaned cub and the grieving mother together. Raisin directly felt protected as Daya, who was also genuinely happy, showed her love as her own. What a happy ending for both dogs!
