A child decided to help an animal in need and his story touched millions of hearts
A photo was recently shared on social media showing a boy walking alongside a blind deer in the state of Illinois.
It is quite unusual to see a human standing so close to a shy animal. The story behind this image is pretty damn amazing.
Unfortunately, in the wild, this poor deer would have no chance of survival. This kid gave the animal a second chance and moved us.
Every morning, before the boy leaves for school, he helps the deer find a place to eat and rest. She takes him from one patch of grass to another, guiding him safely along the way.
“There is a blind deer in our neighborhood and this boy (10 years old) walks from one patch of grass to another every day before school to make sure he finds food”
Eventually, word reached a local rescue center, which is now caring for the deer so it can live safely.
“The deer will be picked up today by a local animal rescue group (NOT animal control) and taken to a vet for evaluation. She will probably be tagged and taken to a controlled forest reserve, but they said that since she seemed so docile, she might end up in an approved farm or petting zoo.”
It may not be exactly the same as in the wild, but with the deer in the condition it is in, this is certainly the best of the options.
Thanks to a selfless little boy, the deer is given a second chance to live a happy life.
