Since it has been some time since we originally learned about Quasimodo the dog, we felt it would be helpful to provide you an update.
There are just 15 puppies like this one in the entire world. But, according to his mother, nobody is quite like him.
This adorable fur pup was born with a rare condition called short spine syndrome. As his mother says, “He’s a real German Shepherd… just shorter”
He was found as a stray dog in Kentucky. Quasi was scared of people and very shy. But after meeting a loving human named Rachel, his personality came out.
These days he’s enjoying life running around in the snow, playing with his friends, and chasing after girls’ dogs (he’s quite the ladies’ man, it seems!).
His human founded Secondhand Hounds, a non-profit organization that rescues thousands of animals a year, and there Quasimodo gets all the care and attention he needs.
He has to do some things differently from other dogs, like eat his food without bending down, but now he is a happy and carefree puppy who has found fans all over the world…. including us!
